Ze wonen ver weg van dorpen of steden. \u2018basisopleidingen gezondheid\u2019 bestaan uit een theoretische fase en een stage. Wanneer studenten de cursus hebben voltooid, kunnen ze aan de slag als eerstelijns gezondheidswerkers. Een aantal van hen wordt gevraagd de cursus zelf te geven.
