Ropheka Foundation invites you to take part in the upcoming Primary Health Care Training

  • Do you want to learn how to prevent and treat basic health problems?
  • Would you like to help improve the health of people in villages and help improve local communities?

  • Do you want to sacrifice time and efforts for the sake of others?

WE WILL TEACH YOU

  • How to stay healthy
  • How to prevent disease and give health education
  • How to assess basic health problems and take care of the sick
  • How to dress wounds
  • How to Give First Aid
  • And much more…. 

WHEN/HOW LONG/WHERE

Start of the lecture phase: Within this period: 11/09 -15/12/2023 (clusters of 2 weeks or one week lecture, 1 week study). Perhaps a few more weeks in January 2024.

Internship period: The practical phase of the course is compulsory and will continue for at least a year (throughout 2024). Approximately every week there will be a program of 1-3 days where you practice what you learned. You will be required to join primary health care camps in different villages.

Venue: BOM Church, Bom Basti and/or Printam Road Kalimpong, Hope Family.

If you come from outside Kalimpong, please arrange accommodation yourself, or you can stay with the Hope Family.

Requirements: Preferably 12th standard. Furthermore: willingness to study seriously, endure long jeep rides, serve people in villages and the motivation to persevere.

Please bring: Notebook, pen, weekly fees of Rs.500 at the beginning of each week.
